This is a draft privacy notice for the developing HOPAM website. The legal operating entity, privacy contact and final retention schedule have not yet been confirmed. It requires review by a qualified Botswana privacy professional before formal adoption.
Information collected
When you submit an enquiry, the website collects your name, email address, optional organisation, enquiry type, subject, message and confirmation that you have read this notice. Do not submit passwords, identity numbers, bank details, medical information or other sensitive personal information through the enquiry form.
Purpose
We use enquiry details to receive, assess, route and respond to your message, maintain appropriate business records and protect the website against misuse. We do not currently operate advertising pixels or behavioural analytics on this website.
Service providers
The public website is hosted by Cloudflare Pages. Enquiry records and authenticated command-centre data are stored in a separate Supabase project. These providers may process information outside Botswana under their applicable service terms and safeguards.
Access and security
Enquiry records are restricted to authorised HOPAM owner and administrator accounts through database access policies. We use encrypted network connections and role-based access controls. No online system can guarantee absolute security.
Retention and your choices
A formal retention period is still to be adopted. Enquiry records should be retained only as long as reasonably necessary to review, respond to and document the enquiry, subject to applicable legal obligations. You may request access, correction or deletion where applicable by contacting the privacy contact once formally designated.
