Research beyond the ticker.
Market intelligence should be traceable. Use exchange notices, issuer reports, audited statements and recognised market-data publishers. HOPAM will display source, timestamp, currency and delay beside every verified quote once a licensed provider is connected.
How to access regulated markets.
For Botswana-listed securities, investors generally open a securities account through a licensed stockbroker or CSD participant, complete the required identity, residence and income checks, and place trades through the authorised intermediary. HOPAM does not receive investor funds or execute those trades.
Paper portfolio.
Practise portfolio construction with fictional funds and manually entered reference prices. All balances and trades stay in this browser. They are not money, orders or holdings.

From research platform to regulated market infrastructure.
A future exchange would need a suitable legal entity, regulatory authorisation, exchange rules, market surveillance, listing standards, broker membership, custody/depository, clearing and settlement, capital, cybersecurity, complaints handling and investor-protection arrangements. HOPAM Markets does not claim to have these approvals.
